Why the funds have not arrived?
If a customer has submitted a cryptocurrency payment but the funds have not yet arrived in your Sheepy account, the delay is most likely due to the transaction still waiting for sufficient blockchain confirmations. In many cases, this occurs when the sender uses a low network fee, resulting in the transaction being queued or temporarily stuck in the mempool of the blockchain network.
The transaction must be confirmed by a minimum number of blocks before it is credited to your balance. This security measure helps prevent double-spending and ensures the payment is irreversible. The required number of confirmations may vary depending on the asset and the network protocol.
To monitor the status of such transactions, log into the Sheepy Dashboard and navigate to the relevant invoice or transaction ID in the History section. You can also use external blockchain explorers to check the current status of the transaction hash.
To streamline the process, Sheepy supports an auto-withdrawal feature, which can automatically retry processing once the payment clears. This is particularly useful for networks with fluctuating congestion or if your clients frequently use wallets that set conservative gas fees.
